Workshop safety on running water

The safety workshop is focused on practicing practical skills in the field of safety and rescue on running water. In addition to water tourist instructors, you will be guided through this workshop by an instructor of water work and rescue from the HZS CR.

Program*:

Morning part:

10:00 Welcome and start of the workshop

10:30 Hardware (theoretical preparation)

• safety equipment and its use - (vest, helmet, throwing bag, slings, carabiners, pulleys, knife, first aid kit)

11:00 Software (theoretical preparation)

• weir typology
• dangerous phenomena (cylinder, siphon, fallen trees, ice)
• types of personal protective equipment and their use
• WW driving tactics and rescue strategies 

11:30 a.m. Self-defense (theoretical preparation + practical exercise)

• Self-defense technique using active and passive swimming 

12:30 LUNCH BREAK (grill or nearby restaurants)

Afternoon part

13:00 Throwing bag - in this block we will practice rope rescue (theoretical preparation + practical exercise)

14:00 Rescue of material and floats from the ship (theoretical preparation + practice)

15:00 Model rescue situations (practical training)

16:30 End of the program on the water

Included:

• instructor team with a valid license for the entire duration of the course
• rental of the necessary missing equipment
• channel usage fee
• photos from the course

The price does not include:

• risk sports insurance
• food and drink for the entire duration of the event
